Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
